Description
The 2060 pro+ puts the 600 N evo+ motor tier on a rail with no control unit on the end, about 3/4 HP equivalent and rated for doors up to 600 lb.
Taking the control unit off the rail shortens the opener by about 10 in. That suits a garage with limited back room, such as beams or HVAC ducts, or one with no outlet at the ceiling. With the control unit on the wall, the everyday buttons sit where a person can reach them.

Delivery: Free by parcel within the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
California: Only the Accu battery backup configuration ships to a California address. State law requires a battery backup function on residential openers, and the Standard configuration has none.

Drive: 600 N, about 3/4 HP equivalent. The motor carriage travels along a fixed, spring-tensioned chain, with one moving part.
Door travel: Soft start and stop on a variable curve, with force and speed settings that adjust over time as the door and conditions change.
Door weight: 600 lb on a counter-balanced standard-radius sectional door, 540 lb on low headroom, and 450 lb on a poorly balanced door.
Heavy doors: A door over 400 lb takes one ceiling bracket for every two rail sections.
Door height: 8 ft 3 in on low headroom or 10 in. radius track, down to 7 ft 3 in on 32 in. radius. Rail extensions reach taller doors.
Back room: From the door header to the first obstruction, allow door height plus 27 in. on 3 in. low headroom track, rising to plus 39 in. on 32 in. radius track. That is 10 in. less than the evo+.
Control: A separate control unit for the wall or ceiling, with a built-in 3-button keypad for light, open, stop, close, and lock. A 16.4 ft connector cable links it to the rail and must not be extended.
Lighting: LEDs at the motor carriage and the control unit.
Braking and release: Active motor braking during travel, and the opener pushes in the closed direction during an attempted break-in. The emergency release disengages and re-engages in any position.
Radio: 922.5 MHz SOMloq2 with 128-bit AES rolling code, and 40 transmitter commands, or 450 with a Memo where the carriage board supports it.
HomeLink: A 310 MHz module pairs with compatible in-car buttons. Car2U systems are not compatible.
Accu option: Adds a 24 V NiMH battery pack, good for about 5 cycles within 12 hours of an outage, at reduced speed. A qualified electrician installs it.

Installation and Compatibility
Installer: A qualified specialist installs the opener, on a balanced door that runs freely.
Power: A polarized 120 V, 60 Hz outlet within reach of the 6 ft cord, which must not be extended or shortened.
Where it runs: Dry indoor rooms only, away from salty air and chlorine.
Release: A garage with no separate entrance needs an outside release, sold separately.

Warranty
Terms: Motor covered for as long as the original purchaser occupies the home where it was first installed, 6 years on the rail, chain, boards, and hardware, and 2 years on transmitters and sensors.
Conditions: Inspect the opener on receipt and after installation, and register within 30 days of purchase. Coverage runs from purchase or first installation, whichever is earlier, and it is not transferable.
Not covered: Labor, batteries, LEDs, fuses, normal wear, door parts such as springs, delivery damage, and improper installation or use.
Claims: Contact us first, within 30 days of finding the problem, with your order number and the serial number.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which adjustments stay at the rail?
The radio button, reset, carriage DIP switches, and the limit stop. The control unit's keypad handles light, open, stop, close, and lock.
Can back room be reduced further?
Yes, with add-on fittings. A GDO coupler and curved door arm take 3 in. low headroom track from plus 27 in. to plus 23 in. A GDO coupler and low headroom bracket take it to plus 22 in., on extension springs or rear torsion only.
Does it need an electrician for the connector cable?
No. It's low voltage. An outlet for the control unit is a different matter if you don't have one nearby.

California law requires battery backup on residential garage door openers, so only the Accu battery backup configuration ships to a California address — the Standard configuration cannot.

Plain answers
I have a 7 ft door and a 9 ft ceiling. Will it fit?
That gives you 24 in. above the door, which rules out 12 in. radius track, where even the fitted setup needs 26 in. On 3 in. or 6 in. low-headroom track it can work with the GDO coupler and a curved door arm or low-headroom bracket, which need 22 in. to 24 in. The bracket option suits extension springs or rear torsion only, and these fittings are add-ons.
Does low headroom change the 600 lb rating?
Yes. Sommer rates this tier at 540 lb on a low-headroom door and 450 lb on a poorly balanced one. If your door is near either figure, look at the 2110 pro+, which has the same layout with a stronger motor.
Will the 8 ft rail reach my door?
It depends on the track radius. Sommer's rail chart gives 8 ft 3 in. on 12 in. or 15 in. low-headroom track and 10 in. radius, 8 ft on 12 in. or 15 in. radius, 7 ft 9 in. on 20 in. radius and 7 ft 3 in. on 32 in. radius. Measure the radius from the track splice to the center of the horizontal track.
Where can the control housing mount?
Anywhere the control cable reaches, up to 16.4 ft from the motor, and Sommer says that cable must not be extended. The keypad must sit at least 5 ft high, so plan the spot before the installer arrives.
How long does the Accu battery backup last in an outage?
About five door cycles on the internal pack, per Sommer. It is also the configuration a California address requires, because the Standard configuration cannot ship there.
Who installs it, and what power does it need?
Sommer's pro+ manual says the opener may only be installed by a qualified specialist. It runs on 120 V, 60 Hz, and the power cable is about 69 in. long, so check the outlet position first.
Do I have to register the warranty?
Yes. Sommer makes registration within 30 days of purchase a condition of coverage, by the card in the manual or online. Motor coverage lasts as long as you occupy the home where the opener was first installed.
