Sommer Low Headroom Door Arm — for Low Headroom Track

A shorter door arm geometry for installations with limited backroom. Combined with the GDO connection coupler, it is the configuration that brings a Sommer pro+ down to 22 in. of clearance above the door height on 3 in. low headroom track.

The constraint, before anything else

Sommer states this arm is only compatible with low headroom track. If your door runs standard radius track, this part does not fit it, whatever your clearance is. The low-headroom configuration in Sommer's clearance chart also applies only to doors on extension springs or rear-mounted torsion.

Check which track you have before ordering. If you are not sure, send us a photograph of the track where it curves from vertical to horizontal and we will tell you.

What it changes

On 3 in. low headroom track a pro+ needs 27 in. of clearance above the door height as standard. With the coupler and this arm that falls to 23 in.; with the coupler and the low profile header bracket, 22 in. The full table for every track radius is on the low headroom guide.
