Sunseeker X9 Plus Robotic Lawn Mower — 6 Acres, EdgeZero Trimmer
Free shipping to the contiguous U.S.
Description
The largest robot mower in the range: six acres on a 48-hour cycle, with the EdgeZero trimmer arm included as standard to finish the edges the deck cannot reach.
It is built for landscapers, facility managers, and owners of large grounds. Against the X9 it adds the trimmer, a 17 A charger that takes about 20 minutes instead of 50, and a top speed of 2.2 mph instead of 1.3. It also runs louder, at 70 dB(A), and 88 dB(A) while the trimmer runs.
On a golf course it belongs in the rough and semi-rough — not on tees and fairways.
Shipping and Delivery
Pre-order: Sunseeker's next X9 Plus shipment is due in mid-February 2027, so orders placed now are expected to ship then.
Delivery: Free within the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship this mower to Alaska or Hawaii.
Key Features
Navigation: AONavi 2.0 fuses network RTK and VSLAM 2.0 on a 10 TOPS chip, maps the area automatically with texture mapping, and keeps working in shaded or tree-dense ground.
Sensing: 360° OmniSight runs a front binocular camera with iToF and infrared, side ToFView cameras, and two dToF sensors, with cliff sensing, day or night.
Cutting: Dual floating discs and twin 190 W motors cover a 17-inch width, six blades per disc at 2,800 RPM, with electric height from 0.8 to 4.0 inches. Set a target height and it works tall grass down over several passes.
EdgeZero: The trimmer arm cuts at zero distance along right angles and the base of high fences, with its height set electronically to 2 or 2.8 inches.
Zones: Automatic path planning runs across unlimited zones, with virtual boundaries drawn in the app.
Terrain: Four-wheel drive, four-wheel independent suspension, and dual rear-wheel active steering hold a 90% (42°) slope and cross 2-inch obstacles, with wheel brushes that clear debris from the tires.
Charging: PioneerVolt charging takes about 20 minutes on the 17 A charger, and the infrared docking sensor lets it charge without reversing. It returns on its own when low and resumes where it left off.
For managed properties: Sign in to Sunseeker's fleet management website to run several mowers, with scheduling, rain sensing, warning and ambient lighting, over-the-air updates, and Alexa or Google Home.

Installation and Compatibility
Network RTK service: Five years of network RTK and anti-theft service are standard.
Site check: Network RTK needs cell coverage at the lawn and a view of the sky, so tell us about weak signal or heavy tree cover before you order.
Lawn prep: Cut the grass to 4 inches or lower first. Passages must be wider than 39.4 inches.
Charging station: Fix it on open, flat, soft ground near an outlet, with 60 inches clear in front and open sky above.
Accessory: The Sunseeker Standard Blades Kit (15-Pack) pairs with this mower as replacement blades.
Warranty
Term: Two years on the mower and one year on the battery pack, from the date of purchase, for defects in materials or workmanship under normal, ordinary conditions. No registration is required.
Not covered: Normal wear on parts such as blades and tires, improper maintenance, accidental damage, accessories supplied with the mower, high-pressure washer damage, unauthorized repairs or parts, and storing the mower or battery outdoors below 32°F.
Claims: Contact us first, with your order number and the mower's serial number. We file the claim with Sunseeker and arrange the repair. A mower is replaced only if it is dead on arrival or cannot be repaired, and a replacement may not be new.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the X9 the better choice?
When the property fits within three acres and you can trim the edges yourself or add EdgeZero. It also runs quieter, at 66 dB(A).
What happens when it starts to rain?
Rain detection can send it back to the charging station, depending on your settings. If the rain stops within the scheduled time, it starts again on its own.
Can I hose it down?
Yes. It's rated IPX6, but stay away from pressure washers, because the warranty excludes that damage.

Six acres, edges included
The largest robot mower in the range, and the only one that finishes its own edges: the EdgeZero trimmer arm comes standard. Six acres on a 48-hour cycle, a 17 A charger for fast turnaround, and the same omnidirectional sensing as the X9.
All figures from Sunseeker’s published US specifications.
The range
Six mowers, one ladder
Every model maps the lawn without a boundary wire. Moving up the ladder buys acreage, drive, and cutting hardware — pick by the yard, not by the badge.

Every model: no boundary wire · rain sensor · virtual boundaries with unlimited zones · app control.
The platform
Mapped, not fenced
The boundary lives in the app
No perimeter wire to trench, snag, or repair. Boundaries, no-go islands, and zones are drawn on the phone and redrawn in minutes when the yard changes — with no limit on how many zones you keep.
Network or LiDAR
The X5, X7 and X9 models run network RTK over built-in 4G, so there is no antenna to install. Service is included for two years on Gen 2 and five on the X9 pair. The X4 skips satellites entirely and navigates by LiDAR.
It does not stop at dusk
Binocular cameras handle daylight and iToF sensors take over at night, so the mowing window is the whole day. Working noise stays at 60 dB(A) across the X4 through X7 Plus — quiet enough to run while the house sleeps.
Before you order
Plain talk, as usual
Acreage is a rating, not a promise
Coverage figures are Sunseeker’s own, measured on sane schedules and reasonable ground. Complex layouts, heavy growth, and long narrow passages all eat into them. If your lawn sits near the line between two models, take the larger one.
Two ways of knowing where it is
This range does not navigate one way. The X4 reads the yard with LiDAR and needs no sky at all. The X5, X7 and X9 models use network RTK with vision backup, which leans on cell coverage and a reasonable view up. Tell us about tree canopy or a weak signal and we will point you at the right one.
Height adjustment splits the range
The X4 and X5 Gen 2 set cutting height by hand at the machine. From the X7 Gen 2 up it moves electronically from the app, including target-height cutting over several passes. If you change height with the season, that line in the table is worth more than the acreage.
Plain answers
How fast does it recharge?
Sunseeker quotes about 20 minutes on the 17 A charger. The 6-acre rating is over a 48-hour cycle, so plan on two days to cover the whole property.
What does the EdgeZero arm do that the deck cannot?
It trims right up to boundaries the deck cannot reach, including the base of high fences and right-angle corners. Sunseeker describes zero-distance cutting with automatic obstacle avoidance, managed from the app.
What if part of the property has tree cover or weak signal?
VSLAM 2.0 vision keeps it navigating through shaded or RTK-blocked areas, but Sunseeker notes that work without a position fix is limited in time and distance and can lose accuracy. Network RTK also needs cell data, so tell us about dead spots before you order.
What happens after the five years of network RTK and anti-theft service?
Sunseeker offers a 4G + nRTK recharge card to extend the service. The X9 Plus positions over the network, so plan to keep it active.
Does six acres mean six acres a day?
No. The rating is 6 acres on a 48-hour cycle, and complex layouts, heavy growth and long narrow passages reduce it. This is the largest mower in the range, so for ground beyond that rating ask us about running more than one.
Can a lawn care business run several of these?
Yes. Sunseeker's fleet management website lets landscapers and facility managers control multiple mowers and choose mowing settings. Send us the site details through our contact page and we will size the fleet with you.
Can I return it if it does not suit my property?
Only if it is new and unused, within 30 days of delivery, or defective on arrival. A mower that has been set up and run counts as used, and approved non-defective returns carry a 25% restocking fee. Describe the property to us first and we will tell you whether it fits.
