The 1 HP tier of Sommer's evo+ direct-drive opener, for doors heavier than a standard single. Same platform as the 2060 and 2110 — the motor travels the rail itself rather than dragging a trolley — with the control unit in the ceiling head and one Pearl remote in the carton.
One moving part
Direct drive means a traveling motor on a fixed, pre-tensioned galvanized steel chain. There is no belt tensioner to re-tighten and no separate trolley to wear, and it runs quieter than a chain-and-trolley opener — which matters most where there is a room above the garage.
Sized for a heavier door
800 N of pull, about 1 HP equivalent, rated to 1,100 lb on a counter-balanced standard-radius sectional door. That is the step up from the 2060 when a double door, or a solid-core single, is working the 3/4 HP tier at its limit.

Door-weight ratings assume a counter-balanced door: a poorly balanced door derates every tier by roughly 25%, and spring-loaded swing arms cap all tiers at 600 lb. Fit and compatibility
For sectional doors up to 8 ft tall in a dry indoor location; rail extensions for taller doors are sold separately. Works with the Sommer 922.5 MHz SOMloq2 accessory range: Pearl transmitters, ENTRAkey and Telecody keypads, the ENTRAsys+ fingerprint scanner, the SOMweb Wi-Fi gateway and the Accu battery backup.
California orders
California law requires a residential garage door opener to have a battery backup function. This configuration does not include the Accu battery backup, so we cannot ship it to a California address. If you are in California, contact us and we will quote an Accu-equipped Sommer configuration instead.
