Description
The 2080 evo+ is the 1 HP tier of the evo+ range: 800 N, rated for doors up to 1,100 lb, made in Germany.
The control unit sits at the end of the rail, and the carton includes the wired wall station, safety sensors, and one Pearl remote.
Shipping and Delivery
Delivery: Free by parcel within the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
California: Only the Accu battery backup configuration ships to a California address. State law requires a battery backup function on residential openers, and the Standard configuration has none.
Key Features
Drive: 800 N, about 1 HP equivalent. The motor carriage travels along a fixed, spring-tensioned chain, with one moving part.
Door travel: Soft start and stop on a variable curve, with force and speed settings that adjust over time as the door and conditions change.
Door weight: 1,100 lb on a counter-balanced standard-radius sectional door, 990 lb on low headroom, and 825 lb on a poorly balanced door.
Heavy doors: A door over 400 lb takes one ceiling bracket for every two rail sections.
Door height: 8 ft 3 in on low headroom or 10 in. radius track, down to 7 ft 3 in on 32 in. radius. Rail extensions reach taller doors.
Back room: From the door header to the first obstruction, allow door height plus 37 in. on 3 in. low headroom track, rising to plus 49 in. on 32 in. radius track.
Ceiling gap: At least 1-3/8 in. from the door's highest point to the ceiling, and 3/16 in. to the rail.
Control: A ceiling control unit at the end of the rail, with a wired 3-button wall station.
Braking and release: Active motor braking during travel, and the opener pushes in the closed direction during an attempted break-in. The emergency release disengages and re-engages in any position.
Radio: 922.5 MHz SOMloq2 with 128-bit AES rolling code, and 40 transmitter commands, or 450 with a Memo where the carriage board supports it.
HomeLink: A 310 MHz module pairs with compatible in-car buttons. Car2U systems are not compatible.
Accu option: Adds a 24 V NiMH battery pack, good for about 5 cycles within 12 hours of an outage, at reduced speed. A qualified electrician installs it.

What's Included
In the box: Motor carriage, ceiling control unit, three rail sections with chain, straight and curved door arms, ceiling, header, and door brackets, door hardware, release handle, safety sensors, wired 3-button wall station, one pre-programmed Pearl 4-button remote, and manuals. The Accu configuration adds the Accu battery pack.
Installation and Compatibility
Installer: A qualified specialist installs the opener, on a balanced door that runs freely.
Power: A polarized 120 V, 60 Hz outlet within reach of the 6 ft cord, which must not be extended or shortened.
Where it runs: Dry indoor rooms only, away from salty air and chlorine.
Release: A garage with no separate entrance needs an outside release, sold separately.

Warranty
Terms: Motor covered for as long as the original purchaser occupies the home where it was first installed, 6 years on the rail, chain, boards, and hardware, and 2 years on transmitters, the wall station, and sensors.
Conditions: Inspect the opener on receipt and after installation, and register within 30 days of purchase. Coverage runs from purchase or first installation, whichever is earlier, and it is not transferable.
Not covered: Labor, batteries, LEDs, fuses, normal wear, door parts such as springs, delivery damage, and improper installation or use.
Claims: Contact us first, within 30 days of finding the problem, with your order number and the serial number.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does low headroom do to the rating?
It drops from 1,100 lb to 990 lb. A poorly balanced door drops it to 825 lb.
Can I add the battery backup later?
Yes. The Accu is sold on its own, and a qualified electrician installs it. A California order needs the Accu configuration from the start.
Do I need to register the warranty?
Yes. Registering within 30 days of purchase is a condition of coverage.

California law requires battery backup on residential garage door openers, so only the Accu battery backup configuration ships to a California address — the Standard configuration cannot.
