Description

The Hydro 4 SE is the corded model built around cleaning rather than connectivity, for a pool up to 1,076 sq ft (100 m²). It follows a HydroCurve S-shaped path, runs from a control box through a 39.4 ft (12 m) cable, and adds Ultra Clean, an app setting that raises pump power, pressure, and flow for stubborn debris.

All app setup happens on land. There is no cloud service, remote control, manual driving, or water temperature readout, and nothing changes once it is in the water.

Shipping and Delivery

Delivery: Free within the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

Key Features

Path: HydroCurve S-shaped path. In Auto it spends the first 40% of its time on the walls and the rest on the floor.

Presets: Auto for 1, 2, or 3 hours, or Wall (walls and waterline) or Floor for 2 hours.

App: CHASING GO3 over Bluetooth, on shore only, for cycles, scheduled starts, Ultra Clean, and firmware updates. A scheduled start needs the robot in the pool in standby, so it stays in the water until it runs. The switch on the robot also sets Auto, Floor, or Wall.

Reach: The 39.4 ft cable runs from the control box, which sits at least 9.8 ft back. That leaves about 29.5 ft straight out from the pool edge, and less to a far corner or at depth. Measure from the box position to your farthest corner before ordering.

Full basket: A yellow breathing light tells you when to empty it.

Flow: Up to 5,070 GPH (84.5 GPM, 320 L/min) from two pumps.

Filter: A 1.08 gal (4.1 L) dual-zone basket in 180 μm nylon, fed by a dual water inlet.

Motors: Rated to 656 ft (200 m) of water pressure.

Brushes: One active brush and one driven brush.

Pickup: At the end of a cycle it moves to the nearest pool-floor edge. Retrieve it with a hook on a pole.

What's Included

In the box: Robot with cable attached, power control box, three screws, O-rings, and file envelope. A hook and pool pole are not included.

Installation and Compatibility

Control box: At least 9.8 ft from the pool edge and 3.9 in off the ground, dry, shaded, and on a table or wall. Never put it in water.

Outlet: A grounded outlet on a GFCI circuit. Test the GFCI before each use.

Cable: There is no anti-tangle swivel, so untangle knots by hand.

Lifting: Lift the robot by its handle, never by the cable, and let it drain for 10 to 20 seconds.

Swimmers: Take it out before anyone swims. No one may be in the pool while it runs.

Chemicals: Do not run it in water with liquid flocculants or clarifiers, which can block or damage the filter.

Filter care: Replace the filter at least every three months in regular use. It is replaced as a whole basket, sold separately.

Storage: Indoors at 41°F to 113°F, somewhere cool and dry.

Pools: In-ground and above-ground pools in concrete, vinyl, fiberglass, or tile.

Warranty

Term: 2 years on the main compartment, power supply, and drive parts, and 6 months on the filter basket, brush scraper, track, and sponge brush, from the date of sale.

Not covered: Commercial or rental use, damage from renovation debris, sand, dust, or chemical or metal particles, flood, fire, lightning, drops, wrong voltage, failure to follow the instructions, foreign objects, unauthorized repair, and non-CHASING parts.

Claims: Contact us first, with your proof of purchase, the serial number, and a short description of the fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it big enough for my pool?

It's rated for 1,076 sq ft (100 m²), but check reach as well: the 39.4 ft cable can fall short of the far corners of a pool that size. For a pool up to 1,615 sq ft, the Hydro 4 C has a 49 ft cable.

What do I need for power?

A grounded GFCI outlet, with the control box at least 9.8 ft from the pool edge and 3.9 in off the ground.

Can I change settings once it is running?

No. The app works on shore only, so choose the cycle and Ultra Clean before it goes in.

How long does a cycle run?

The Auto presets run 1, 2, or 3 hours, and Wall and Floor run 2 hours. There's no battery to charge between cycles.

Who it is for

Corded, row by row, with a boost mode for heavy debris

The Hydro 4 SE is the corded model built around cleaning rather than connectivity. It covers the pool with S-shaped path planning, runs continuously from a deck-side control box through a 39.4 ft (12 m) cable, and adds an Ultra Clean mode for the mess a normal cycle leaves behind. CHASING rates it for pools up to 49 ft long and 1,614 sq ft (150 m²). It has app control and scheduling, but no cloud service or manual driving; for those, look at the Hydro 4 C.

Why the Hydro 4 SE

  • Ultra Clean for the heavy weeks

A dedicated 3-hour mode, selected in the app, for storms, leaf drop and the debris a normal cycle leaves behind.

Ultra Clean 3 h, per CHASING

  • Planned coverage on plug-in power

S-shaped path planning works the pool in rows, and household power means the cycle never stops for a charge.

Plain answers

Ultra Clean, power and pool size

What is Ultra Clean?

A 3-hour cleaning mode, started from the app, for pools with more debris than a normal cycle handles.

What do I need at the pool?

A standard outlet within reach of where the control box will sit. The robot arrives with a 40 ft cable attached.

Does it have cloud control or manual driving?

No. The app handles modes, scheduling and Ultra Clean. Cloud control, manual driving and a water-temperature display are on the Hydro 4 C.

How big a pool is it for?

CHASING rates it for pools up to 49 ft long and 1,614 sq ft (150 m²), at depths of 1.6 to 9.8 ft.

Is there a runtime limit?

No. It runs continuously on household power; Auto cycles are set to 1, 2 or 3 hours.

How do I get it out?

One-touch parking brings it to the pool edge when the cycle finishes, so you are not reaching into the deep end.
