Weekend Wrencher's Workshop
A bench, a cabinet and a wall, specified for someone who actually takes things apart on a Saturday and needs them back together by Sunday.
The bench is the decision
Everything else in a working garage is negotiable. The bench is not. It sets how heavy a job you can take on, whether a vice has somewhere solid to live, and whether the tools you reach for twenty times an hour are in front of you or in a pile.
Buy the load rating you will actually use, not the one that looks impressive. A cabinet rated to 1,760 lb is not marketing when you have a head, a torque wrench and four trays of sockets in it at once.
The three pieces
-
The cabinet
View productBeta RSC24, seven drawers, ball-bearing slides that come all the way out, and a front lock that secures the stack in one turn. Made in Italy and held in US stock, so it is not a two-month wait.
-
The tools, indexed

-
The heavier bench
View productIf you want a cabinet you can bolt a vice to, the RSC28 SuperTank carries 2,645 lb on 6 in. casters with a wood top drilled for one.
Three ways to go heavier
-
If you work on engines
View the C30MThe Beta C30M Maxi Tank is a rolling workbench with an oil-proof top, a drain and a built-in hydraulic jack, rated to 3,968 lb static. It is a different class of tool to a drawer cabinet.
-
If you want the whole wall
View the C45PROThe C45PRO is a modular system rather than a single unit: 18-gauge steel wall and floor modules with worktop runs from 77 to 116 in., rearrangeable later.

If the budget is the constraint
Browse workbenchesThe 7 ft workbench cabinets give you drawer count and bench length for less outlay, at a lower load rating. Honest trade, clearly stated.
Common questions
Seven drawers or eight?
Eight if nearly everything you own is hand tools and you want them one layer deep. Five if you own tall things — a breaker bar, an impact gun, bottles of fluid — that need the 11 in. drawer. Seven splits the difference.
Is the tool set worth it over buying the cabinet bare?
If you are starting from a thin tool collection, yes — the trays are cut to fit and you skip two years of filling drawers. If you already own good tools, buy the cabinet bare and keep your own.
Do the accessories fit any cabinet?
No. The RSC24 accessories fit the RSC24 series only. The RSC28, C45PRO and C30M each have their own list. Send us the item number off the sticker if you are unsure.
Not sure which bench?
Tell us what you work on and how much wall you have, and we will tell you which of these is the right buy — including when the cheaper one is.
