Swisstrax Ribtrax Smooth 12-Series — Interlocking Garage Floor Tile, 10-Pack

Swisstrax Ribtrax Smooth 12-Series tiles have a smooth, perforated top over a channel system that lets water and debris drain under the tile. Each pack holds ten 12 x 12 in tiles, about 10 sq ft, in one of ten colors.

It is the 12-Series tile rated for indoors and out, so it suits a carport or patio as well as the garage. The tiles snap together by hand in a matter of hours, with no adhesive, and lock into Diamondtrax and Vinyltrax 12-Series tiles for borders and patterns.

Shipping and Delivery

Delivery: Free standard shipping within the 48 contiguous states and DC. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

Packing: Each pack ships parcel ground from Georgia in its own 13 x 13 x 6 in box, about 8 lb. An order of several packs may arrive on different days.

At delivery: Check every box against your order, and contact us within 48 hours with photos if anything arrives damaged.

What's Included

In the box: 10 Ribtrax Smooth 12-Series tiles in one color. 12-Series edges and corners fit these tiles; ask us to add them to your order.

Installation and Compatibility

Acclimate: Let the tiles sit at 72°F or warmer for 24 hours before you lay them. Tiles for the door end do well with some time in direct sun first, so they expand before the open door lets the sun in.

Prep: Clear and sweep the slab. No grinding, etching or primer.

Gap: Leave at least 1/4 in at walls and anything fixed, such as cabinets, lift posts and support columns.

Layout: Work in rows from the back of the garage toward the door, with loops and pegs facing the same way on every tile.

Edges: On a wall-to-wall floor, edges are needed only across the door opening, between the door rails. A floor that stops short of the walls needs edges on every open side and a corner at each corner. Set door edges at least 2 in back from any step down to the driveway.

Cutting: Trim tiles at the walls with a circular saw, jigsaw or table saw and a fine-toothed blade.

Loose tiles slide: Do not walk on tiles that are not yet locked together.

Care: Clean with a vacuum, wet mop or leaf blower. Keep battery acid and direct heat, such as a torch, off the floor.

Warranty

Term: 20-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, for single-family household use, on a floor installed and kept to Swisstrax's instructions. A defective tile is replaced.

Not covered: Commercial use, labor, shipping on replacements, cosmetic stains or discoloration, cuts, scratches, burns and dents, and damage from long direct sun exposure, from moisture or pressure coming up through the slab, or from gluing the tiles down.

Check as you lay: Look over each tile as it goes down. A tile installed with a visible defect is not covered.

Claims: Keep your receipt and the box labels, since a claim needs both. Contact us first with your order number and photos, and we file the claim with Swisstrax.

Returns: Within 30 days of delivery, unused and in the original packaging, under our return and refund policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ribtrax Smooth or Diamondtrax?

Both are 12 in tiles that lock together. Ribtrax Smooth has a flat, draining top and is rated for indoors and out. Diamondtrax has a solid diamond-plate top and is for indoor use. Many floors use one for the field and the other for a border.

How many packs do I need?

Multiply the length by the width for square feet, divide by 10, and round up. A 20 x 20 ft floor is 400 sq ft, or 40 packs. Add a few extra for cuts at the walls.

Is commercial use covered by the warranty?

The tile is rated for commercial floors, but the 20-year warranty covers single-family household use only.

Will these lock into Swisstrax PRO tiles?

No. 12-Series tiles lock only with other 12-Series tiles, edges and corners.
