Sommer Rail Extension 21.5 in. — for evo+ and pro+ Openers

This 21.5 in. rail extension is the shortest of the three for Sommer evo+ and pro+ openers. One takes a door to between 9 ft and 10 ft, depending on the track.

Paired with a 43 in. extension, it fills the step between one and two 43 in. extensions. The standard rail opens doors from 7 ft 3 in to 8 ft 3 in, depending on the track. The figures are general, and the installer confirms the opening on site.

Shipping and Delivery

Delivery: Flat $12 on orders under $100, and free at $100 or more, within the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

Installation and Compatibility

Works with: Sommer evo+ and pro+ openers.

Brackets: A door under 400 lb takes one ceiling bracket for every three rail sections, and a door over 400 lb one for every two. Perforated angle for the ceiling bracket is sold separately.

Tall doors: Over 8 ft, drum and spring size also affect how far the door opens.

Measuring: Measure radius from the track splice to the center of the horizontal track.
