Description

The Autel AC Single is a hardwired 50 A Level 2 charger built around a one-click modular design: the main unit clicks onto a separate wiring box, which shortens installation and makes a swap quick if a part ever needs replacing.

It delivers up to 12 kW, adding up to 37 miles of range in an hour, and a color ring around the connector shows the charger's status from across the garage.

Shipping and Delivery

Delivery: Free standard shipping within the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

Dispatch: It ships from Autel, usually the next business day. The delivery estimate shows at checkout, along with an express option.

At delivery: Check the box and the charger before you sign, and contact us within 48 hours with photos if anything arrives damaged.

Key Features

50 A, 12 kW: Up to 9 times faster than a Level 1 charger.

One-click modular design: A 10-minute installation once the circuit is in, and 3-minute component swaps.

Status ring: Green when available, breathing blue while charging, solid blue when a charge is done and the connector is still in, yellow when disabled, red on a fault, cyan when reserved.

Adjustable current: 6 to 50 A, set in the app.

Smart app: Real-time charge status, scheduled charging, electricity usage monitoring and AI voice control, with Siri activation.

25 ft J1772 cable: Reaches either side of a two-car garage from one wall.

What's Included

In the box: The main unit with its 25 ft J1772 cable, the wiring box, a quick reference guide, amperage labels and mounting accessories.

Installation and Compatibility

Electrician and permit: A hardwired charger is electrician work, and most areas require a permit and an inspection for a new EV circuit. Budget for both alongside the charger.

Breaker: Full 50 A output needs a dedicated 70 A circuit breaker, sized at 125% of the charging current. On a smaller circuit, set the charger lower: 48 A on 60 A, 40 A on 50 A, 32 A on 40 A, 24 A on 30 A, or 16 A on 20 A.

Quick mount, same circuit: The one-click design shortens time on site. It does not remove the need for a correctly sized dedicated circuit.

NACS vehicles: A Tesla or other NACS vehicle needs a J1772-to-NACS adapter, not included. For a native connector, choose the AC Lite Home NACS.

Cable reach: Plan the mount so the 25 ft cable reaches the charge port on the side your car parks.

Rebates: Utility and state EV charger rebates vary by area. Check your provider's current program before you order.

Warranty

Term: 5 years from the date of purchase, against defects in materials and workmanship, for chargers used in the US.

Not covered: Misuse, accidents, lightning and other storm damage, repairs or changes not made by Autel, installation or use against the manual, use outside normal home charging, and normal wear.

Claims: Keep your order confirmation. Contact us first with your order number and a description of the fault, and we take the claim to Autel. Autel repairs the charger or replaces it with one of equal specification, which may be refurbished.

Returns: Within 30 days of delivery, unused and in the original packaging, under our return and refund policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the ring color mean?

Green: available. Breathing blue: charging. Solid blue: finished, connector still in. Yellow: disabled. Red: a fault. Cyan: reserved.

What circuit do I need?

A dedicated 70 A breaker for the full 50 A. On a smaller circuit, set the charger lower, for example 40 A on a 50 A breaker. Have a licensed electrician confirm your panel capacity first.

Can I lower the current?

Yes. It adjusts from 6 to 50 A in the app, so it can run on a smaller circuit at a lower setting.

Will it charge my Tesla?

Yes, through a compatible J1772-to-NACS AC adapter, which is not included. For no adapter at all, the AC Lite Home NACS has the NACS connector built in.

Shipping & returns

Park nose-in or back-in, the cable copes

  • 6A to 50A, your choice

Dial output down to suit an older panel

Designed around real garages

Four things you notice in the first week

  • Full 12 kW, without the overnight wait

At 50A on a dedicated circuit the AC Single delivers 12 kW, adding up to 37 miles of range in a single hour, about nine times what a standard 120V outlet manages.

Up to 37 miles in one hour

  • Set the schedule once, then forget it

The Autel app reports live charging status, sets a schedule around off-peak rates, tracks the electricity each session used, and takes voice commands inside the app.

Scheduling and usage tracking in the app

  • You can read it from the doorway

A multicolor ambient ring signals standby, charging, complete and fault states, so you know whether the car has been fed before you put your shoes on.

    Color-coded status ring

  • Built to be serviced, not replaced

The one-click design takes about ten minutes to mount and connect once the circuit is ready, and roughly three minutes to swap a component later on.

    10-minute install, 3-minute swaps

Plain answers

What buyers ask before they order the AC Single

What circuit does the AC Single need?

A dedicated 70A circuit breaker for the full 50A, because a continuous load is sized at 125%. On a smaller circuit the charger can be set lower. Have a licensed electrician size the breaker and conductors and confirm your service capacity before you order.

Is it hardwired or does it plug in?

The AC Single is hardwired, which is what lets it run the full 50A. If you would rather plug into an existing NEMA 14-50 outlet, look at the Autel AC Lite Home 40A instead.

Will it charge my EV?

It uses the J1772 connector, which fits the great majority of EVs sold in North America. Tesla and other NACS vehicles charge through a compatible J1772-to-NACS AC adapter, which is not included, or you can choose the Autel NACS model.

Can I turn the output down?

Yes. Output is adjustable from 6A up to 50A, so you can match an older panel or share capacity with other large loads instead of giving up on Level 2 altogether.

Is 25 feet of cable enough?

For most single-car garages and driveways it is. Twenty-five feet reaches either side of the vehicle whether you park nose-in or back in, and the cable coils back onto the unit.

How long does installation take?

About ten minutes to mount and connect the station itself, and roughly three minutes to swap a component later. Running the circuit is the longer part of the job.
