Description
The Autel MaxiCharger AC Elite Home is a hardwired 50 A Level 2 charger with a 25 ft J1772 cable. It delivers up to 12 kW at 240 V, adding up to 48 miles of range per hour of charging.
Over the AC Lite it adds a choice of holster, built into the body or mounted separately, and it supports Adaptive Load Management and Dynamic Load Balancing for a home with a busy panel.

Delivery: Free standard shipping within the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
Dispatch: It ships from Autel, usually the next business day. The delivery estimate shows at checkout, along with an express option.
At delivery: Check the box and the charger before you sign, and contact us within 48 hours with photos if anything arrives damaged.

What's Included
In the box: The charging station with its 25 ft J1772 cable, a wall dock, the user manual, amperage labels and mounting accessories, with the holster style you choose.
Installation and Compatibility
Electrician and permit: A hardwired charger is electrician work, and most areas require a permit and an inspection for a new EV circuit. Budget for both alongside the charger.
Breaker: Full 50 A output needs a dedicated 70 A circuit breaker, sized at 125% of the charging current. On a smaller circuit, set the charger lower: 48 A on 60 A, 40 A on 50 A, 32 A on 40 A, 24 A on 30 A, or 16 A on 20 A.
ALM hardware: Adaptive Load Management needs extra compatible hardware at the panel. Ask us before you order if you plan to use it.
NACS vehicles: A Tesla or other NACS vehicle charges through a compatible J1772-to-NACS AC adapter, which is not included.
Cable reach: Plan the mount so the 25 ft cable reaches the charge port on the side your car parks.
Detached garage: If Wi-Fi does not reach the charger, run an Ethernet cable while the walls are open.
RFID cards: RFID access works with Autel cards, which are sold separately.
Rebates: Utility and state EV charger rebates vary by area. Check your provider's current program before you order.
Warranty
Term: 3 years from the date of purchase, against defects in materials and workmanship, for chargers used in the US.
Not covered: Misuse, accidents, lightning and other storm damage, repairs or changes not made by Autel, installation or use against the manual, use outside normal home charging, and normal wear.
Claims: Keep your order confirmation. Contact us first with your order number and a description of the fault, and we take the claim to Autel. Autel repairs the charger or replaces it with one of equal specification, which may be refurbished.
Returns: Within 30 days of delivery, unused and in the original packaging, under our return and refund policy.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference from the AC Lite?
The AC Elite offers a separate holster as well as the in-body one. Both are 50 A, 12 kW chargers with a 25 ft J1772 cable.
Can the car charge while the dryer runs?
With Adaptive Load Management and its extra hardware fitted, the charger shares the home's available capacity with other loads.
What circuit do I need?
A dedicated 70 A breaker for the full 50 A. On a smaller circuit, set the charger lower, for example 40 A on a 50 A breaker. Have a licensed electrician confirm your panel capacity first.
Are RFID cards included?
No. The charger works through the app and AutoStart out of the box. RFID cards for access control are sold separately.

Install, compatibility and connectivity
Does this model have to be hardwired?
Yes. The 12kW AC Elite Home is the hardwired version, so it connects to a dedicated 240V circuit rather than a NEMA plug. Have a licensed electrician size the breaker and conductors to local code using Autel's installation manual; the circuit should not be sized from the charger's amperage alone.
Can it be mounted outdoors?
Yes. Autel rates the AC Elite enclosure NEMA 4X for indoor or outdoor installation, and specifies full-power charging from -40°F to 131°F through rain, snow, sleet, hail, dust and sand.
Will it work with my EV?
It uses the J1772 (Type 1) connector, which Autel lists as compatible with all North American standard electric vehicles. NACS vehicles charge through the J1772 adapter supplied with the car.
Does it need internet to charge?
No. Charging works without a network connection. Wi-Fi or Ethernet is what enables scheduling, remote start and stop, notifications and firmware updates.
Can I lower the charging current?
Yes. Maximum amperage is adjustable through the Autel Charge app or a hardware switch, which helps if your panel cannot support the full 50A.
What is the difference between the two holster options?
The in-body version stores the connector in the charger itself. The separate-holster version ships with a standalone holster you can mount wherever the cable naturally reaches.
