HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS

One machine, four jobs

Yarbo is not a robot mower with attachments bolted on. It is a tracked core — the drive unit, the battery and the navigation — that accepts a working module on the front. Buy the core with the module you need now, and add the others when the season or the budget calls for it.

That is the whole argument for it. A dedicated robot mower sits idle from October to April. A Yarbo with the snow module keeps working through the winter, then goes back to mowing in spring.

Shipping and delivery

Yarbo configurations ship freight on a pallet, delivered curbside on a liftgate. Freight is quoted before you order rather than added at checkout, and we confirm the carrier and appointment window with you.

Setup and site requirements

No boundary wire is buried and no electrician is needed. The system maps your property using RTK positioning, which needs a clear enough view of the sky for the reference signal — heavy tree canopy over part of the property is the main thing worth discussing before you order.

Tell us about slopes, tree cover and whether the property is one area or several, and we will say plainly whether this is the right machine for it.

Modules, navigation and what to check before you order

No, and most people should not. The core is the expensive part and the modules fit it whenever you add them. Buy the core with the module you need this season and add the others later.

No. Yarbo navigates with RTK positioning rather than following a buried cable, so there is no wire to lay around the lawn or around each flower bed.

This is the question worth asking before you order. RTK relies on a satellite signal, so a dense mature canopy over part of the property can interrupt positioning. Describe your plot to us and we will tell you honestly whether this is the right navigation method for it — our buying guide compares RTK against LiDAR on exactly this point.

Tracks spread the machine's weight over a much longer contact patch, so it climbs steeper gradients and crosses soft or uneven ground that stops a wheeled machine. The trade is weight and turning space. On a flat, ornamental lawn a wheeled mower is gentler.

Freight, on a pallet, curbside. It is heavy — plan for a second pair of hands or a way to move it from the kerb to the garage. We quote the freight before you order rather than surprising you at checkout.
