WHY SPLIT-PHASE MATTERS

The 240 V loads other stations cannot reach

Most portable stations output 120 V only. That covers a fridge, lights and electronics, but it stops at the appliances that matter most in a long outage — a well pump, a deep well, some furnaces and anything else wired for 240 V.

Split-phase output through a NEMA 14-50R is the difference. It is also why this tier is worth considering even when a cheaper station has a similar watt-hour figure: capacity is not much use if it cannot reach the load.

Contains a large lithium battery. Lithium shipments travel ground only, never air, and some remote, island and non-continental destinations carry restrictions. Confirm with us before ordering if your address is unusual.

Installation requirements

As a portable, none — loads plug into the unit. Feeding household circuits through a transfer switch is a panel connection and requires a licensed electrician and, in most places, a permit and inspection. Get an estimate before ordering hardwired components.
