The Sommer Pearl is a four-button 922.5 MHz garage door opener remote for evo+ and pro+ operators, and the same transmitter that ships in most Sommer opener kits. That makes it the sensible spare: a second car, a teenager, a house-sitter, or a replacement for the one that went through the wash.
Run up to four doors from one remote
Four independent channels mean one Pearl can open a garage door, a second garage door, a gate and a side door without you carrying four remotes. Taught to the four-channel receiver on an evo+ or pro+, the buttons can also trigger different functions rather than different doors.
Reach the door from further down the street
Range is up to 460 ft depending on surroundings. The repeat function extends it further: press and hold a button for one to three seconds and the transmitter keeps sending, which is what gets you through a hedge, a masonry wall or a wet day.
Keep one in the car and one on your keys
A visor clip and a keyring are both in the box, so the same remote works clipped above the windscreen or dropped in a pocket. The CR2032 lithium cell is included and energy consumption is greater than 10 mW, so a spare Pearl left in a glovebox stays useful. Rated from -13 to 149 F.
Check your frequency before you order
evo+ and pro+ operators run at 922.5 MHz, which is what this garage door remote transmits on. Sommer Synoris operators are 315 MHz up to mid-2012 and 310 MHz after that, so this remote will not work with them. The frequency is printed on the back of your existing remote, and on the ID sticker on the side of the motor carriage on evo+ and pro+.
